CIRCA 21/22

Circa 21/22 is a debut photo book documenting two years within the Welsh language music scene, spanning 2021 to 2022. The project captures the energy, intimacy, and creativity of a thriving cultural movement, told from the perspective of someone both behind the camera and within the community itself.

As a musician during this period, the photographer formed close friendships with many of the artists featured. This insider perspective gives the book its unique voice — both a celebration of personal connections and a wider homage to the vibrant subculture surrounding Welsh language music. Circa 21/22 stands as a portrait of a community and a moment in time, created from within.
